11 Weeks!

Sadly I have no ultrasound pics! But don't worry, there is a belly pic :) My next appt. is on January 9th and I can't wait to see the little bubs again! They got incredibly spoiled at xmas and I can't wait to set up all their new toys in their nursery once we move :)  Pretty much all my first trimester annoyances are gone... My biggest complaint is how uncomfortable my growing body is becoming... But that is to be expected.

Here is today's belly pic! It is after a huge lunch so its a bit exaggerated for sure :)

9 Weeks 5 Days Ultrasound!

I have graduated from my infertility clinic! They told me that they do not want to see me anymore as for the next 6 months at least I am no longer "infertile", in fact, being pregnant with twins I'm pretty darn fertile! Or rather "fertilized"? Gross.
I feel like I am already getting to know my babies with all of these ultrasounds.  Baby A is our quiet one, likes to hang out and relax... Baby B is our mover and shaker and little show off :) It will be fun to see these stinkers interact once they start talking and interacting with each other.
The next ultrasound will be Jan. 9th and the NT Scan (where they measure the babies' risk for downs) on the 13th... so a while to wait! But we will be thoroughly and happily distracted with the holidays and a beautiful wedding!!!!!!

Here they are!

Baby B! Dancing away :)

This is so far my favorite belly pic yet!  Im huge because its night time and my pjs are ridiculous, but its whatever works these days with that belly!

8 Week 1 Day Ultrasound

So last friday I had my first OB appointment.. .I am LOVING my doctor.  She is great and says that they will be watching me like a hawk.  She spent a lot of time asking me tons of questions and also did a very thorough ultrasound... here are the pictures!!!

Here is my dainty Baby A... at 8 weeks 1 day she/he was measuring 8 weeks exactly :)
8 week 1 day Baby A, measuring exactly 8 weeks

Here is Baby B, my "monster", because he/she is measuring a bit ahead.  He/she seems to have quite a bit or room to swim around in! When the ultrasound landed on Baby B, he/she actually jumped! it was the first time I've seen either of them move :)
Baby B, "monster" 8 weeks 1 day, measuring 8 weeks 3 days!
Here are both my babies hanging out together...

7 weeks 4 days, and third ultrasound

Hello again!
We had our third ultrasound this morning! Both babies look great with strong heart beats. One baby has a heart beat in the 150s and the other in the 170s :) I made the doctor double check and make sure it was just TWO and that neither had split... I am super excited for twins but triplets would terrify me!
Have had pretty bad morning sickness the past couple of days but seeing them this morning makes it all worth while. We will have our first MFM (maternal fetal medicine) doc appt. this Thursday, so expect even more ultrasound pics that day! They might look totally different by then.. they look sooooo much bigger than they did just a week ago!
Baby A is starting to look humanish, while baby B still looks a bit blobby. My theory is that Baby A implanted a day before Baby B (one blast was hatching at transfer and the other wasn't, this is why...)
Either way, both are right on target and where they should be at this point :) Both Jason and I are super in love with these little beasts :)
The belly at 7 weeks 4 days. Looking smaller, I think the bloat is going down a bit :)

Baby A, starting to look like a human!

Baby B, still looking like a little blob, he/she will catch up though!

Both babies, enjoying each others company :)

7 Weeks!

Well, we have reached 7 weeks! I have been informed by one of my baby websites that the twins are now the size of blueberries :) Pretty cute. Crazy that two itty bitty blueberries are making it VERY hard to breathe and stay awake right now...
I have scheduled my first high risk OB appt with a very well known Maternal Fetal Medicine doc in the city for December 8th. We will be delivering at Cornell as they have one of the best NICUs around. No homebirth for me! :( I'm coming to grips with the fact that I will most likely not have the natural birth I've always wanted... I may have to get an epidural or even have a c-section. I will do whatever is necessary to get my babies here the safest way possible, which I'm hoping ends up being a regular old fashioned birth :) We will see what fate decides.
Also, according to a book I'm reading on twin pregnancies, I should aim to gain 25 pounds by 20 weeks gestation to help avoid pre-term labor and low birth weight babies. By the end of pregnancy I should aim to gain 42-50 or so pounds. This seems like SO MUCH... but it needs to happen. So far I have gained 3 pounds... by week 13 I'm hoping to gain 8-12 so I need to get this ball rolling... however, I have no idea how I can eat anymore. I eat ALL THE TIME. At least staying super full has seemed to quell my morning sickness... as long as I don't let myself get hungry the morning sickness is almost non-existant!
Here is the 7 week belly shot.. yup its getting big already!
